Christel Khalil won a Daytime Emmy Award (Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series) for her role as “Lily” on The Young and The Restless. (I am not ashamed to say that at various times through my adulthood and adolescence I watched this show. Not religiously, but from time to time. It was a good segue between classes in undergrad! Don’t judge me!)
