Questions For Season 2 of Scandal

I recently re-watched all of the episodes of Scandal. I love that show. You already know this if you’ve followed my Tumblr since I started it in late May of this year. I even love the music of the show.
Question. Did “Olivia” even once reply to “Fitz” and say “I love you too?” You know he loves stopping her sentences and her resistance as she struggles with her feelings for him (and the ramifications of those feelings) by planting one of those well-timed and well-paced “I love you” statements where the response is that her defenses are lowered and such. I do believe that the feelings that they have are true as characters and true as talented actors Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn are conveying them well. It’s believable to me. It’s real and strong. (I wrote about this in more detail before.)
But…I still don’t recall her ever saying “I love you” in reply to him…her actually using those words.
My season 2 questions are:
1) Why hasn’t “Olivia” actually said “I love you?” Is it more than just her resistance to the whole “Amanda” affair?
2) Who the hell is “Quinn?” Why will this matter? Her role is interesting on the show but she is one of my least favorite characters, though I like all of the characters.
3) They provided interesting back story on each of the main characters (as “Cyrus” was investigating the team), but will they go further? I don’t “need” them to at all. But it would be fascinating.
4) Why did “Fitz” hold ”Olivia’s” stomach that way when he went to her house in episode 6 as they had their one minute moment on the couch? It felt very “I’m touching your womb” versus just a typical cuddle. Will it be that she miscarried his child herself why she totally flipped out at the idea of “Amanda” being pregnant? Or maybe I am reaching. Not sure. It just gave me an interesting vibe.
Anyway…I can’t wait for Season 2. It’s supposed to have 13 episodes instead of just 7 like the first season. I haven’t seen a date announced yet. (Also, I read that Henry Ian Cusick is leaving Scandal. He played the character “Stephen.” I will miss him on the show. Everyone else better stay!)
